QuickSpin

“We Love Slots” – this is the slogan of the Swedish studio Quickspin. The company specializes in development and release of slot machines for online casinos. Even the most cursory look at Quickspin’s products shows that people who work there are madly in love with slot machines. Quickspin’s top management are professionals with years of experience in Net Entertainment and Unibet Group Plc.

Quickspin was founded in 2011 in Sweden by the three highly skilled experts: Daniel Lindberg, Mats Westerlund, and Joachim Timmermans. Daniel Lindberg, Quickspin’s CEO, had a 5-year experience as Sales Director at NetEnt. Mats Westerlund had been in charge of the slot development department at NetEnt, and used to work in Electronic Arts. Joachim Timmermans had spent 7 years as one of the top managers of the Unibet Group. So it is a small wonder that certain games from Quickspin look vaguely familiar to the NetEnt products.

Quickspin’s aim was to bring innovations and quality to online casino game development. Its founders believed that this was what the gaming industry of the time lacked. The company’s mission was to create the best video slots in the whole industry. In other words, Quickspin’s founders wanted to develop games that they themselves would love to play. Thanks to their immense experience in online game development, Quickspin succeeded in putting their plan into action, and soon became one of the most well-known brands.

Games

Quickspin’s game portfolio is still not too big, but all its video slots have outstanding quality, interesting topics and unique features. The company’s most popular games are Big Bad Wolf, Goldilocks, The Wild Chase, Sindbad, and Second Strike.

All slots from Quickspin come with fabulous graphics, interesting animation and nice sound effects. With all of that combined, the company’s slots offer the gamblers a more realistic gaming experience. Quickspin and NetEnt share the same attitude to the quality of work: only ideally tested and brushed up games find their way to the

audience. This might be the reason for Quickspin releasing new games only once every 3-4 months on average.

When it comes to Quickspin’s software, we should note that all games of this company have the same interface. Thanks to this, you don’t need to get used to a new button location every time a new slot comes out.  RTP of Quickspin slots is about 96.2%-97.3%, which is quite a good percentage.

Quickspin products have a license from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. Thanks to their numerous merits, Quickspin slots caught the eye of large online gambling companies. Recently, Quickpin signed a cooperation agreement with the famous Betsson Group. This means that Quickspin slots will now be offered in this group’s gambling establishments.

Having joined Playtech, the company signed an agreement with its branch Game Technology Solutions (GTS). According to this agreement, Quickspin can place its software on the GTS open game platform. You can also find games by this developer on the Quickfire platform that belongs to Microgaming.

Conclusion

In our opinion, Quickspin had a very good start and used to develop rather interesting mathematical models. But after it had become part of Playtech in 2016, the quality of its games dropped drastically. Its mathematical models took a step for the worse and became stiff. On top of that, Quickspin started to add games by other developers to its portfolio, and not the best ones in terms of quality. We think that out of all games created by this developer, Big Bad Wolf was, and still is, the best.
